Knitting and puzzling

My cape is coming along nicely. I'm changing up the pattern some, so I hope it turns out okay. The Lion Brand Suede doesn't have a lot of give, so I would not like to end up having to rip it out and start over. By all measurements and guesses, I'll end up with something I really like.

I needed a bit of a break from knitting the cape, so I got some Lion Brand Trellis and knitted up a quick little shawlette. It was going to be a shawl, but I decided I wanted a quicker project. Nothing like instant gratification. I really like how this turned out.

Nothing like a break from the heat. Since I don't have air conditioning or central air, I have to hide out in the basement to get cool. I've got a table set aside for my puzzling. This 300 piece beauty went very quickly. Just an hour or two to complete. I'll pick a more challenging one for later this week.

Good Job on all! Love the colors on your shawl. I like puzzles too but I like them more in the winter... wonder why?!

I've only got one kid, but in theory kids can entertain themselves better as they get older.
